DASCO Named Finalist in Two Categories at the North West Regional Construction Awards

DASCO Construction is celebrating another major milestone after being named a finalist in two categories at the North West Regional Construction Awards 2025.

The family-run business has been shortlisted for both SME of the Year and Contractor of the Year, placing DASCO alongside some of the most respected construction companies in the region.

The North West Regional Construction Awards recognise excellence across the construction sector, celebrating businesses that demonstrate outstanding performance, innovation, collaboration and quality project delivery.

For DASCO, receiving recognition in two categories is a very proud moment.

Recognition Beyond Growth

Over the last few years, DASCO has experienced significant growth.

The business has expanded its workforce, secured major contracts and continued to strengthen its position within the social housing and maintenance sectors.

However, growth has never been the only measure of success.

From the beginning, DASCO has focused on building a business that balances commercial success with strong values, quality workmanship and long-term relationships.

Being shortlisted in both categories recognises not only what DASCO has achieved, but how it has achieved it.

As a self-funded family business, every stage of growth has been carefully managed while continuing to invest in people, communities and sustainable business practices.

Standing Alongside the Best

The North West Regional Construction Awards attract entries from some of the largest and most established construction businesses in the region.

Therefore, reaching the shortlist is a significant achievement.

For a company that started with a single van and a determination to do things differently, being recognised alongside larger organisations demonstrates how far the business has come.

More importantly, it reinforces the reputation DASCO continues to build across the North West.

A reputation built on trust, reliability and consistently delivering high standards for clients and residents.

A Team Achievement

While the shortlist recognises the business, the achievement belongs to the wider DASCO team.

Every Dasconite plays a role in delivering projects, supporting clients and helping the business grow.

From site operatives and supervisors to office staff and management, everyone contributes to the culture and standards that have helped DASCO reach this point.

This recognition reflects the commitment, professionalism and hard work shown across the business every day.

Why This Shortlist Matters

Being named as a finalist is already something worth celebrating.

It provides further evidence that DASCO is continuing to evolve, strengthen and make its mark across the North West construction sector.

Most importantly, it gives us confidence that our approach is working.

Happy 16th Birthday, Roxy!

Not every member of the DASCO team wears a hard hat.  Some prefer a blanket, a comfy bed and the occasional treat.  This week, we celebrated a very special birthday as our beloved office dog, Roxy, turned 16.  Roxy has been coming to work with us for almost nine years and has become a familiar face around the office. While

Inspiring the Next Generation of Skilled Tradespeople

The construction industry has a major problem: a lack of skilled tradespeople.  Ask almost any contractor and they’ll tell you the same thing. There is plenty of work available, but finding skilled people to deliver it is becoming increasingly difficult.  At DASCO, we believe part of the solution starts in schools.  Recently, Managing Director Scott Rothwell visited students at St Mary’s RC
