Mirfield Station Upgrade

Part of the TransPennine Route Upgrade. DASCO Construction was appointed to deliver the lift shaft, and motor room works at Mirfield Station.

The scope included installation of secondary steel, weather sheathing, masonry and all associated internal works.

The project was completed in line with programme requirements ensuring a high-quality finish and full integration with the wider station upgrade.

Scope

Design co-ordination and delivery of lift shaft and motor
Room structures within the station upgrade works
Installation of structural steel framing systems forming
The motor room primary support structure
Application of external weatherboarding systems
to provide durable, weather resistant enclosure
Supply and installation of masonry cladding to external elevations ensuring compliance with aesthetic and durability requirements
Construction of internal partitions and linings to form compliant service and plant areas

Installation of single ply Bauder roof systems
Supply and Installation of SR3 FD60 door sets
Provision of internal fire protection measures, including fire stopping, fire boarding and compartmentation
detailing
Coordination of all penetrations and service openings to accommodate M&E requirements
Ensuring compliance with relevant building regulations fire safety standards and station operational requirements
Construct new station entrance cladding with architectural stonework
