We Value Our Community

We are DASCO; we take pride in our roots; pride in our community and pride in giving back as much as we can!

Here’s just a few of the things we’ve been proud and privileged to be involved with recently.

Dasco Construction Proudly Supports Wigan Youth Zone as Gold Patron

Investing £12,000 Each Year for 3 Years to Empower Local Youth

At Dasco Construction, we are honoured to announce our partnership with Wigan Youth Zone as a Gold Patron, demonstrating our deep commitment to supporting local causes. Our pledge of £36,000 over the next three years reflects our pride in investing in the potential and future of young people in Wigan and Leigh.

As Managing Director of Dasco Construction, I, Scott Rothwell, am excited about the positive impact we can create together. Our values, rooted in integrity and community support, align seamlessly with the mission of Wigan Youth Zone. This collaboration signifies our dedication to empowering the next generation and contributing to the thriving local community.

Friends of Hindley Cemetery

In late 2019 we saw a post on Facebook from the Friends of Hindley Cemetery. They were asking for help from local companies and the community with a plan of revitalising the closed chapel within Hindley cemetery. Their goal was to re-open the chapel and create a small café in the annex. In the long-term they wanted to open the main chapel for funeral services, functions, and meetings, etc.

We initially pledged to help and support them with £10,000 worth of labour and materials to help them on their way.

Rainbow Ward

Making a difference, one donation at a time.

We proudly contributed £500 to the Babies & Children’s Fund, specifically for the Rainbow Ward.

I would like to thank you for your very generous donation totaling £500!

This money will help our charity purchase new equipment for our patients and better the patient experience whilst on our children’s ward. Thank you again for choosing our charity and supporting our hospital, it is greatly appreciated.

Hindley Christmas Selection Boxes Donation

We’re delighted to have contributed to the local festive spirit by donating selection boxes for the children of Hindley and Hindley Green. These Christmas treats, along with others donated by local community and businesses, will bring joy to youngsters through the local Letters to Santa and Santa’s Grotto at the upcoming lights switch-on event.

I have been contacted and presented with 104 selection boxes by Dasco construction company today. Dave Rothwell is the owner of this local family run firm that are very well thought of in our town. We are so blessed to have people Like Dave, Scott his son, and all his family members who want to give back so much to the community. Thank you so very much Dave for your kind donation and your generosity. There is gravy to the story, Scott has also offered with a couple of his lads to help our volunteers put up the Christmas trees on Market Street.

The Brick

We got into the Christmas spirit here at DASCO and donated over £500 worth of food to The Brick in Wigan for their Christmas food appeal. This is something we will continue to do every year as we believe no child should not have a gift or food at Christmas.
