Scott Rothwell Shortlisted for Two Leadership Awards

We’re proud to share that DASCO Managing Director, Scott Rothwell, is shortlisted in two categories at this year’s Leadership Awards.

Scott is named as a finalist for:

  • Young Leader
  • Leader of a Company with Over 101 Employees

The awards take place on Thursday 27th March 2025 at The Midland Hotel in Manchester.

Bringing together leaders from across the Northwest to recognise excellence in leadership, culture, and organisational impact.

Why This Shortlist Matters

This recognition reflects the way DASCO has grown over the last decade.

Consciously, carefully, responsibly, and with people at the heart of every decision.

Leadership, the DASCO Way

Scott doesn’t lead from behind a desk, he leads from the ground up.

Alongside the people who make DASCO what it is.

Leading a business of more than 100 employees comes with significant responsibility, and this recognition highlights a leadership approach built on trust, long-term thinking, and consistency.

It acknowledges the challenge of scaling a business while protecting its culture, values, and sense of purpose.

A Leadership Style Rooted in Values

Scott’s leadership style has always been hands-on and people-led.

From site teams to office-based staff, DASCO builds its culture on clear communication, progression based on potential, and creating an environment where people feel supported and valued.

Being shortlisted in both categories highlights Scott’s leadership as he guides a growing organisation through rapid expansion while staying focused on what truly matters.

A Shared Moment of Pride

While the shortlist carries Scott’s name, it represents the collective effort of the DASCO team.

Leadership grows through the people around it, and this recognition belongs to the wider group of Dasconites who contribute to the business every day.

This regional recognition places DASCO alongside leaders from across the UK and marks an important milestone that we’re proud to share.

Good luck on the night Scott!

Happy 16th Birthday, Roxy!

Not every member of the DASCO team wears a hard hat.  Some prefer a blanket, a comfy bed and the occasional treat.  This week, we celebrated a very special birthday as our beloved office dog, Roxy, turned 16.  Roxy has been coming to work with us for almost nine years and has become a familiar face around the office. Inspiring the Next Generation of Skilled Tradespeople

The construction industry has a major problem: a lack of skilled tradespeople.  Ask almost any contractor and they’ll tell you the same thing. There is plenty of work available, but finding skilled people to deliver it is becoming increasingly difficult.  At DASCO, we believe part of the solution starts in schools.  Recently, Managing Director Scott Rothwell visited students at St Mary’s RC
