Our Journey to Become Net Zero is Well Underway

100% electric Dasco Construction van

Over the past 12 months, we’ve been focused on expanding our 100% electric fleet, with some fantastic new additions rolling in.

Currently, 22% of our fleet is electric, and we’re committed to increasing this percentage in the years to come. 😁

Sustainability is one of the core values that drives our business decisions.

Achieving net zero is a responsibility we take seriously.

Every step we take today shapes a cleaner, greener tomorrow for our community and beyond.

In line with our strong sustainability values, we’ve taken some key actions:

🔌 Fast EV Chargers Installed: We’ve installed fast EV chargers at our Head Office, ensuring our electric vehicles stay powered up and ready to serve our clients across the North West.
Fleet Expansion: In the past 6 months alone, we’ve added 12 fully electric vehicles to our fleet, making significant progress toward our decarbonisation goals.
💚 Sustainability Commitment: We’ve laid out a clear decarbonisation plan, aligning our operations with the UK’s ambition to achieve Net Zero by 2050.

Why is this important?

As much as Decarbonisation is about reducing emissions—it’s also about building a sustainable legacy.

As a conscientious construction company, we understand our role in minimising environmental impact.

Our decarbonisation strategy ensures that we’re not only meeting today’s standards but setting new benchmarks for the future.

We actively implement long-term changes that align with our values. These efforts go beyond quick wins or ticking boxes to truly benefit our community.

By investing in electric vehicles and sustainable infrastructure, we’re taking tangible steps toward reducing our carbon footprint and contributing to a cleaner, healthier Wigan.

This journey is just beginning; however, the road to Net Zero is one we’re proud to travel.

Here’s to a greener future and hitting our Net Zero target by 2050! 💚
