Double Triumph for DASCO: Celebrating Community Impact and Growth Success!
At DASCO, we’re proud to share some incredible news—our journey has hit another milestone with a double victory in two prestigious competitions!
Our hard work, dedication, and commitment to Wigan earned recognition. We couldn’t be more thrilled to celebrate these achievements with our community.
Winning the Community Impact Award at the North West Business of the Year Awards and then going on to win the coveted Growth Award at the Greater Manchester Chamber of Commerce Excellence Awards mark an incredible moment in our 10th-anniversary year.
Rooted in Values, Driven by People
At the heart of DASCO’s success is a solid business strategy grounded in simple but powerful principles. These include believing in your people, staying true to your roots, and investing in your community. We’re not backed by outside investors or hidden agendas; we’re family-funded, family-run, and fiercely independent.
We’re not playing by the rules of the game—we’re rewriting them.
In an industry where people often overlook small businesses, we prove that integrity, innovation, and a people-first approach drive extraordinary success. This achievement demonstrates that small businesses can thrive by staying true to their values.
A Decade of Growth, A Future of Promise
Under the leadership of Scott Rothwell, DASCO has grown from humble beginnings to a company employing 102 people, including six core family members and 24 extended family and friends.
This year, we’ll double our turnover from the previous year, reaching an impressive £12 million.
But for Scott, success isn’t just about the numbers. It’s about the impact DASCO has made in Wigan and beyond.
“We couldn’t be prouder of what we’ve built. Our hard work is paying off, and to get recognition from all the judges means the world to us!”
Staying True to Wigan
DASCO’s commitment to the community runs deep.
We wanted to be a business where we’re part of the fabric of Wigan.
Where others might chase quick wins or rely on external funding, we’ve stayed focused on supporting local talent and promoting sustainable growth.
“Not bad for a kid who went to Westleigh High School and was told he wouldn’t amount to much.” – Scott Rothwell
Scott’s journey from those early days to leading an award-winning, thriving business is inspiring—not just for us, but for anyone who believes in the power of hard graft.
Looking Ahead
As well as being a celebration of where we’ve been, this double triumph is a promise of where we’re going.
As we look to the future, we’ll continue to build on our success. Our journey will remain driven by the same values that got us here.
Thank you to our incredible team, our loyal clients, and the Wigan community for being part of this journey.
Here’s to the next chapter—stronger, prouder, and always Wigan.
