DASCO Construction Joins the Greater Manchester Good Employment Charter

At DASCO, we believe that good business starts with great people. That’s why we are proud to announce that we are now a Supporter of the Greater Manchester Good Employment Charter—a pioneering initiative dedicated to improving employment standards across our region.

The Good Employment Charter is the first of its kind in the UK, setting a benchmark for what good employment should look like.

As a Supporter, we stand alongside other leading employers in Greater Manchester, committing to enhancing our employment practices. We are dedicated to making a tangible difference in the lives of our employees.

What This Means for DASCO

Our people are at the heart of everything we do, and this commitment reinforces our dedication to:

  • Providing Secure Work – Ensuring job stability and fair employment terms.
  • Offering Flexible Work – Supporting work-life balance where possible.
  • Paying a Real Living Wage – Recognising the true cost of living and ensuring fair pay for all.
  • Excelling in People Management – Investing in leadership, training, and career development.
  • Encouraging Workplace Engagement & Voice – Listening to our employees and acting on their feedback.
  • Improving Recruitment & Progression – Creating opportunities for career growth and diversity.
  • Fostering a Healthy & Productive Workplace – Prioritising employee wellbeing, mental health, and inclusivity.

Why It Matters

For us, being a Supporter of the Good Employment Charter is a commitment to continuous improvement.

Our Managing Director, Scott Rothwell, has built DASCO on a foundation of integrity, inclusivity, and community values.

As a neurodiverse leader, Scott understands the importance of fostering a workplace culture where everyone feels valued and supported. He is committed to ensuring inclusivity regardless of background or ability.

We already take pride in our high staff retention rates, our dedication to upskilling and promoting from within, and our commitment to supporting the wider community—from championing local businesses to backing social impact projects like the Hindley Cemetery renovation.

Looking Ahead

By aligning with the Greater Manchester Good Employment Charter, we reaffirm our people-first approach to business.

This is just one of the many steps we are taking to ensure DASCO remains not only a great place to work but a company that leads by example in shaping the future of employment in Greater Manchester.

We are excited to continue this journey and work towards full accreditation with the Charter, further strengthening our commitment to our team and the community.
