DASCO Construction: Building a Stronger Community

Our Commitment to Social Responsibility

At DASCO Construction, our journey over the past 20 years has been purposefully intertwined with constructing a thriving, empowered community, built with solid foundations.

As a family-owned business deeply rooted in Wigan, we understand the profound impact we can have on the lives of those around us. Our commitment to social responsibility goes beyond our construction projects. We want to give back to the community that has shaped us.

Investing in the Future: Wigan Youth Zone Gold Patronage

Our latest stride towards community enrichment is our partnership with Wigan Youth Zone as a Gold Patron. Investing £12,000 annually over the next three years, an overall contribution of £36,000, is a testament to our dedication to empowering and shaping the future of young people in Wigan and Leigh. This collaboration signifies our belief in creating an environment where young people can flourish and succeed.

Heartwarming Memories with Holly’s Hearts XI

Children facing cancer deserve moments of joy and lasting memories. DASCO Construction proudly serves as the kit sponsor for Holly’s Hearts XI, actively contributing to their fundraising initiatives. Together, we support the mission of creating heart-warming memories for brave children who are affected. We’re exceptionally proud to stand alongside Holly’s Hearts in their mission.

Spreading Festive Joy: Hindley Christmas Selection Boxes Donation

Christmas is a time of giving, and we are delighted to have contributed to the local festive spirit. Our donation of selection boxes to the children of Hindley and Hindley Green, as part of the upcoming lights switch-on event, is our way of bringing joy to youngsters during the Christmas period. We are grateful for the opportunity to be a part of the local community’s generosity during this festive time.

Hindley & Hindley Green Labour Councillors Page said “We are so blessed to have people Like Dave, Scott his son, and all his family members who want to give back so much to the community. Thank you so very much Dave for your kind donation and your generosity. There is gravy to the story, Scott has also offered with a couple of his lads to help our volunteers put up the Christmas trees on Market Street.”

Supporting Local Sports: Wigan Rugby Match Ball Sponsorship

Sports play a vital role in community bonding. We were thrilled to have served as Match Ball Sponsor at a recent Wigan Rugby match. This partnership underscores our commitment to supporting local sports and community events. We stand alongside Wigan Rugby with pride and look forward to more exciting collaborations in the future.

There is plenty of work available, but finding skilled people to deliver it is becoming increasingly difficult.  At DASCO, we believe part of the solution starts in schools.  Recently, Managing Director Scott Rothwell visited students at St Mary’s RC
